Augova
AI automation for small and mid-sized businesses
Augova is an AI automation company for small and mid-sized businesses, based in Richmond Hill, Ontario. I co-founded it in August 2026 and co-lead it as co-president. We build practical AI that plugs into how a business already runs: the phone line, the document pile, and the manual steps between a booking and a paid invoice.
Most small businesses know AI could help them. What they don't want is a pile of disconnected tools or a science project. They want one partner who learns the workflow, connects the systems they already use, and stays accountable after launch. That's the company we're building, starting in the Greater Toronto Area, where a missed call or a slow follow-up is often a customer lost to the business down the street.
What Augova builds
Voice agents
An AI receptionist that picks up on the first ring, 24/7, and holds a real conversation in five languages. It books appointments live on the call, hands off to a person when it should, and syncs a transcript, a summary, and lead fields to the CRM after every call.
Document intelligence
Incoming files are read, classified, and filed on arrival. Staff can ask questions of their contracts, case files, and records and get answers with citations back to the source, plus summaries and recurring reports built from the same data.
Process automation
Scheduling, invoicing, ticketing, and follow-ups that run off real events instead of reminders, connected through native CRM connectors and webhook and API workflows for everything else.
Custom AI
For workflows nothing off the shelf fits: agentic pipelines and models trained on a client's own legal, medical, or field data, built into web and mobile products from data ingestion to interface.
Why voice comes first
A missed call is the clearest and most expensive problem a local business has, so that's where Augova starts. A voice agent is easy to judge: the call was either handled or it wasn't. It's also the base the other products build on. The archive that answers questions about your files can answer the phone too, and the call that books an appointment can trigger the workflow that invoices it.
How Augova works
Augova is a managed partner, not software a business is left to configure on its own.
- Map what actually happens today before automating any of it.
- Load only the knowledge the business approves, and connect the CRM, calendar, and tools it already uses.
- Test before launch, then keep watching after it.
- Log every automated action, and keep anything that touches money or customer records behind a human approval step.
- Build each step so that a failure leaves nothing worse off than before.
My role at Augova
As co-founder and co-president I lead business development. That means sitting down with a business owner, learning how their day actually runs, and turning that workflow into an AI solution that fits it. I also oversee how Augova contracts and delivers, from the service agreement and service-level commitments to the privacy and data-processing terms and the proof period every new client starts with.
What I bring to it
My background is on the engineering side, and it shapes how we build. I write backend services for a production AI hiring platform at Appli Solutions, I'm second author on the Real-Time Obstacle Detection Dataset, and I spent years on competitive robotics where the firmware had to work the first time. Augova is where those pieces meet a real business problem.
Who it's for
Businesses where the phone, the paperwork, or the follow-up is the bottleneck, across Richmond Hill, York Region, and the Greater Toronto Area.
Stack & Tools
My Projects
Real-Time Obstacle Detection Dataset
Second-author benchmark paper submitted for publication in 2026: 24,326 images, 25 classes, six nano-scale YOLO detectors compared under one protocol. 83,000+ Hugging Face downloads.
Prosecuto
Built at NVIDIA Spark Hack Toronto on GB10 hardware. Owned the local-inference path — on-device llama-server and vLLM NVFP4 instead of a hosted API.
Undercut
Live used-car deal finder that flags mathematically underpriced GTA listings. Built the visualization layer and led the migration to a modular architecture.
SyncAgent
Multi-agent orchestrator that runs Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and Codex CLI on one task, coordinated through markdown files on disk. Python, zero dependencies.
Custom Quadcopter Build
End-to-end embedded build — PCB design in Altium, ArduPilot firmware, DJI flight controller integration, and full PID tuning.
ATF Robotics Cup
National championship-winning autonomous robot against a 5,000+ participant field. Lead software and systems engineer across firmware, PCBs, and competition strategy.
FIRA RoboWorldCup
2nd place nationally and a World Finals qualification. Technical operations manager, troubleshooting firmware live under competition conditions.
